The game was released in Japan under the main title Reiselied, which is a German word for "traveling song," with "Ephemeral Fantasia" as the subtitle. As for allowing classics to be upgraded, it’s a no-brainer, but full price for something you own feels like robberyġ80-ing on a bad decision leaves a bad taste with your most dedicated customers and in this case, I think it is something you will end up having to do.As the title might suggest, the fleeting nature of time is an important aspect of gameplay in Ephemeral Fantasia, Konami's first role-playing release for the PS2 console. See, there are a few people with large disc collections who would be happy to use a PS4 to play them, but the vast majority of us can’t be bothered to searching on ebay every time we want to impulse buy a classic – I, for one, wouldn’t even bother going to the basement to unpack my discs. It would cause negligable financial hurt, but at the same time far outweigh that hurt in PR value. I also don’t really think it’s a good idea, PR-wise, to not launch PS1 games at the same time.Ī good idea would be something like this: Discs works and PS1/2 classics work, but no extra features unless you pay for an upgrade. None of those explanations will sound very good. Prices are fine, but not even an upgrade program from PS3 is something you will be asked to explain, multiple times even. ![]() I really hope you guys have figured out what you’re going to do about the media backlash you’ll get from this.
